Amy Werden
Orthopedic and Pelvic Health Physiotherapist
When it comes to orthopaedic and pelvic health conditions, Amy has a passion for treating her patients through motivation and the power of knowledge. She also has an interest in growing her proficiency with individuals who are facing pelvic floor dysfunction and pain. She has experience providing rehabilitation for individuals with pelvic floor dysfunction for various reasons including pregnancy, prolapses, menopause, pelvic girdle pain, etc. Amy works WITH her clients to empower each woman to feel that she is in control of her own health. Outside of pelvic health conditions, Amy has experience working with individuals experiencing joint pain, muscle strains and sprains, arthritis, and sport-related injuries. She was a varsity wrestler herself, so she can appreciate an athlete’s desire to get back to the sports they love. Having additional experience providing rehabilitation care to the varsity wrestling and volleyball teams as a Student Trainer during her time at Lakehead, Amy recognizes that there are many aspects that play a role in an athlete’s life. Amy graduated from Lakehead University with an Honours Bachelors of Kinesiology in 2016. In addition to her Master of Physiotherapy, Amy has completed her Master of Science in Kinesiology at Lakehead University in 2018, evaluating concussion injuries and prolonged symptom recovery. She has experience and expertise treating individuals with acute and chronic concussion symptomatology. She can identify and treat the personal and physical challenges individuals face immediately following injury as well as those experiencing prolonged symptom recovery. Every concussion presents itself differently from person to person and is also unique depending on whether it is the first or third concussion. Accordingly, Amy believes concussions deserve more than a cookie cutter solution and need to be customized to each individual and their future goals! Amy is also a member of the College of Physiotherapists of Ontario and the Canadian Physiotherapy Association (Orthopaedic Division, Women’s Health Division, and Private Practice Division).

Emily Branderhorst
Orthopedic Physiotherapist
Emily grew up in the small town of Exeter, Ontario, where her love for movement began as a competitive swimmer and high jumper. Her dedication to high jump earned her two national titles while studying Kinesiology at the University of Toronto. It was during her time as a varsity athlete that Emily truly understood the importance of building a strong foundation to prevent injury—a principle that deeply influences her practice today.
After completing her degree, Emily continued her academic journey with a Master’s in Physical Therapy at McMaster University. Her time there further solidified her commitment to holistic care and injury prevention/rehabilitation, as she blends manual therapies with personalized education to empower her patients in achieving long-term health.
Emily has a special interest in pelvic health and is dedicated to pursuing advanced education in this field to better support her patients. She’s passionate about helping individuals of all backgrounds get back to doing what they love, whether that’s excelling in sports, thriving at work, or simply enjoying life with family and friends.
Outside the clinic, Emily enjoys walking her dog Peanut, cooking up new dishes, and spending time with loved ones. Whether working with athletes or anyone recovering from injury or surgery, Emily's mission is clear: to help people build a resilient body for a healthier future.
