Emily Opthof (she/her)

Registered Dietitian & Menstrual Health Educator

Emily's work in nutrition is rooted in non-diet, anti-racist and identity-inclusive care. Her one-on-one holistic counselling approach helps people repair their relationship with food, improve hormonal health and address period health concerns like PCOS, endometriosis, period pain and fertility.

Emily does not counsel for weight loss.

Emily graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Nutrition and Dietetics from Brescia College (Western University) in 2017 and completed her dietetic internship at London Health Sciences in 2018. She has additional training in nutrition care for competitive athletes, eating disorder recovery, naturopathic women’s health care, trauma-informed and trans-inclusive care, and is currently pursuing a Graduate Certificate of Sexual Health from the University of Alberta.

Emily is also a provider with Special Olympics Ontario, working with athletes to optimize their nourishment without dieting or fatphobia.

When Emily isn’t at the clinic, she is a competitive figure skater. She also loves gardening, finishing her reading list quickly and experimenting with new recipes in her kitchen.
